Oliver Stevens, PhD CEng - operating at the intersection of AI, policy, and frontier science

I design and deploy AI systems that work in the messy, high-stakes reality of the real world — bridging applied AI, public policy, and deep tech innovation.

I currently lead AI at a VC-backed tech-bio startup in San Francisco, where I architect real-time inference systems for cutting-edge biotechnology. Alongside this, I serve as a Visiting Researcher at the University of Oxford and hold advisory roles with UK government bodies.

My work spans startups, policy, and frontier science — helping novel technologies move from idea to impact. I’ve led projects advancing from lab research to clinical trials, advised on AI governance at the national level, and collaborated with founders and investors to accelerate deep tech commercialisation.

  • About me
